  1. We have learned so much on the ground in Hong Kong. I left my phone in Japan in an abundance of caution. Hong Kong student protesters are quoting American founders and feel kinship to 1776. These Hong Kongers are brave souls. 🙏 for a restoration of democratic rights in HK
  2. Foreigners are invited on all-expenses paid trips to China or banqueted in their home countries, creating obligation. CCP leaders host foreign VIPs, journalists & academics to do "thought work" on them to create an “international army of friendly propagandists” for China. 2/
  3. They are not Chinese companies they are or State Owned and should not be allowed to raise capital here to continue to execute their economic aggression on
  4. The CCP has a longstanding policy of creating foreign political "friends" 国际友人/外国朋友. The most valued "foreign friends" are prominent individuals who bring commercial and political advantages to China. Public agreement on China’s political positions is not required. 1/
  5. Just a regular Sunday at a CCP-controlled "Three Self Patriotic Church", China's only government-sanctioned Protestant church. Any pretense of separation between Church & State disappeared under Xi Jinping. The CCP controls the churches via the United Front Work Department.
  6. Indirectly, Xi can also ask Hong Kong business tycoon to make donation. Just Google who made the largest donation to school of public health?
  7. Excellent number. Isn’t that the amount SV globalists want to give as a living wage? That’s what Xi means when he says win-win cooperation. CCP gets jobs, Americans get a week at Walmart.
  8. Last time I checked Xi definitely is. How much money does Harvard get from the CCP?
  9. Sad that we even have to debate this
  10. Over the last 20 years American labor unions presided over the greatest loss of manufacturing jobs since the Great Depression. China is Lucy and Trumka is Charlie Brown. (Lucy reading) ”this NAFTA stuff is great!”
  11. "Today HK and tmr Taiwan" may imply that China intends to rule Taiwan eventually as it does HK now. But I think the most ideal thing we’d say is Taiwan today, tmr HK. HK can be like Taiwan, a place for freedom & democracy.
  12. Alliances are for promoting shared interests. Free trade and democratic principles will never be adopted by systemic rule-breakers. America should foster dual military and economic alliances, and forego purely military alliances. If all alliances are priorities, none are.
  13. Will historians say this was the equivalent of the Russian front decision?
